What’s Happening In Wichita During August

The National Baseball Congress World Series has been the Summer Collegiate National Championship since 1935.  Featured are teams from all across the country, playing 60 games at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.  Enjoy Baseball 'Round the Clock Friday July 31 thru August 2!


August 7 & 14, 2015

The KEYN Summer Concert Series finishes up the first two Fridays in August.  Located at WaterWalk Commons, starting at 7 p.m. the free concerts allow you to enjoy the beautiful Kansas nights, enjoy live music from local bands, and dance.  


August 21-23, 2015

The Blacktop Nationals Car Show features all kinds of cars/bikes plus live music and some very tasty food.  Located at Century II, it kicks off at noon on Friday, August 21.  


August 28, 2015

Final Friday Art Crawl, downtown, free.  Art galleries and art museums open their doors to the community to see the best art in Wichita for free, many offer hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
